When Montine discovers that Omar’s father (Phillip Rhys) works in the World Trade Center, she commits to driving the boy back home to his uncertain future in New York City. As they journey across America’s vast heartland in the hours and days immediately following the terrorist attacks, Montine and Omar help each other discover the importance of tolerance, redemption, acceptance and hope.

From Inception Media Group, “The Space Between” was produced, written and directed by Travis Fine (“The Others”). The film, which debuted at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival, offers a powerful look back on how the tragic events of 9/11 brought diverse people together and renewed the American spirit that what we have in common is stronger than what divides us.
