Jay Mohr Is Ready To Take On SUBURGATORY

Gary Unmarried star Jay Mohr has joined the new ABC comedy SUBURGATORY in a recurring role. According to TV LIne, Mohr has signed on to play Steven Royce, the very unattentive, workalholic husband of Cheryl Hines’ Dallas, who is a kept woman and houeswife with a severe passion for Red Bull.

The two will show up as dysfuntional next door neighbors of lead Suburgatory characters, Jeremy Sisto (Six Feet Under) and Jane Levy (Shameless), a divorced father and his sixteen year old daughter, who relocate from the busy city of New York to the quiet, but strange burbs. Actress Carly Chaikin (The Last Song), and Allie Grant from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody will also star in the comedy drama series.

This marks Mohr’s second casting annoucement for the fall line-up, the Picture Perfect actor is also set (as we previously reported) to guest star in the series Prime Suspect as as the character John Bullock, “a slick New York City assistant district attorney.” Mohr will show up in one episode.

The new freshman single camera series, via Warner Brothers, from creator Emily Kapnek and executive producer Michael Fresco will debut on ABC September 28th at 8:30 pm. Does the show look promising? Will you be tuning in? Let us know below.
