The Changs will appear in the October 4 episode, which is the series’ third episode of the new season.

It has been stated by the show’s creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Fulchak that, “across the board, a huge amount of fans want to see parents…that’s not to say we’re going to heavily feature them, but I think it’s interesting to see some of them – not all of them.” [Source: Hollywood Reporter]

The plan for season 3 is to have the storylines focus on the graduating seniors – Mike Chang included – pondering their post-high school plans.

Audiences will recognize Tomita from her varied work on Eureka, 24, JAG and General Hospital as well as her film roles in The Karate Kid Part II, The Day After Tomorrow and The Joy Luck Club. Sim has appeared in episodes of The Protector, Southland and The Forgotten.

Glee will be back for its third season on FOX on September 20 at 8/7c.
