The new TNT drama PERCEPTION won’t air on the cable network until next summer, but more actors have joined the cast in guest-starring roles.

Actor Neal McDonough, best known for his role on Desperate Housewives, and actor Cary Elwes, best known for the cult-classic film The Princess Bride, will both guest star in the same episode of the new series which stars Eric McCormack of Will & Grace fame as an eccentric neuroscientist/university professor who helps an FBI agent (played by Rachael Leigh Cook) solve criminal cases.

McDonough will guest star as the CEO of an agricultural technology company who enlists a code breaker (Elwes) to decipher the messages of a serial killer who is murdering his business acquaintances.

Meanwhile, in a separate episode actress Sheryl Lee, best known for her role as Laura Palmer on Twin Peaks, will guest star as a woman who for 26 years has suffered from anterograde amnesia, ever since surviving a serial killer’s attack. Actress Pamela Reed (Parks and Recreation) will play her mother.

Again, expect to see Perception on TNT in the summer of 2012. [Source: TV Line]
