Top 5 Things To Look Forward To In Season 4 of SONS OF ANARCHY

SONS OF ANARCHY premieres its fourth season tonight, September 6th at 10pm on FX, and there is plenty to be excited about. Since I have seen the first three episodes of the new season, I thought I would write about the top 5 things to look forward to this season.

[Some minor Spoilers ahead]

Last season finale ended with the club going to prison and this season opens with the club getting out. Of course everyone is happy to have them back and for them it’s back to business as usual.

Even though there is a part of me that wishes we had seen more of the club in prison, I think it actually works really well that way. In addition, there are some hints that we will learn more about something that happened in jail, which already leads to some bloody consequences in the first episode.

There’s A New Law In Town

So they got rid of Agent Stahl and Wayne is no longer on the force, but the Sons will now have to deal with a brand new lawman named Eli Roosevelt (Rockmond Dunbar-Prison Break), who I would venture to say might be an even bigger pain than Agent Stahl (if that’s even possible).

But that’s not all, this season we are also introduced to the Assistant United States District Attorney of the Northern California district, Lincoln “Linc” Potter (Ray McKinnon), whom from the looks of it, will be quite the rival for the club, and whom, dare I even say it, I kind of like. He’s definitely going to be a worthy opponent.

New Alliances

This season SAMCRO will make some new alliances namely with the Galino Cartel through Romero “Romeo” Parada (Danny Trejo). And for The Shield fans you might also recognize Benito Martinez, who plays Luis Torres, Romeo’s right hand man.

However, these new alliances will bring quite some change to the club that not everyone is ready to embrace. This is definitely going to be an interesting storyline to see unfold, and I can tell you that by episode three, you get a sense that things are starting to boil within the club.

Jax’s New Plan (and Haircut)

Jax has always been ambivalent about the club and this season is no different, but what is different is that his new plan puts something in motion that could (and I’m guessing will) affect the club and him in ways he hadn’t predicted.

Oh and of course I had to mention Jax’s new haircut. After three seasons, he now has short haircut, which I like a lot better than the other one (not that I disliked the other). I think this new haircut might also reflect the new Jax that came home from jail.

Guns and Blood

This is Sons of Anarchy after all and it goes without saying that you can expect some blood to be shed! Oh yes, the Sons are back!

Overall, after three episodes, season four has not disappointed so far. If you loved season 3 (and the seasons before that), rest assured that this new season brings back the show you have come to love. The first three episodes set up so much of what’s to come further in the season that I cannot wait to see how it all unfolds. It’s going to once again be a crazy ride and you should come along for it.

Don’t miss the season 4 premiere of Sons of Anarchy tonight, September 6, at 10pm on FX.
