My Boys’ Jordana Spiro Cast In DEXTER

Jordana Spiro

After transforming good girl Julia Stiles to one of DEXTER‘s scary cohorts, it looks like the killer Showtime series is adding new blood to the hit show’s upcoming sixth season. Per TV Line, My Boys’ star Jordana Spiro has been cast in the role of a “an acolyte,” a faithful follower of sorts, who gets wrapped up with Dexter’s Travis (Colin Hanks) and Professor Gellar (Edward James Olmos).

Jordana Spiro is scheduled to appear at some point in the later half of season 6. Most recently the thirty-four year old actress appeared in several episodes of Harry’s Law alongside series regulars Kathy Bates (Misery), Nathan Corddry (The Pacific) and Brittany Snow (Mad Love), where she played the recurring role of Rachael Miller. Her additional television appearances also include NBC’s Love Bites and TBS’ My Boys.

Dexter’s upcoming season, according to a TV Line interview with executive producer Sara Colleton, promises that Dexter is back, and he still wants to play.” Colleton also shared that the finale scenes of season 5 showcased Dexter “doing something we rarely do in the series: breaking the fourth wall. He looked in the camera and says, “Wishes are for children.” So, we’ve jumped ahead a year and this is now a Dexter who is over Rita’s death and over the loss of Lumen.” It looks like season six will be worth the wait since Colleton stated that “he’s at the top of his game in every way!”

Dexter will make its premiere on Showtime Sunday, Oct. 2 at 9/8c.
