Award-Winning Andre Braugher To Recur On LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT

According to Deadline, award-winning actor Andre Braugher is expected to have a recurring role on the long-running NBC procedural LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT. He will play an attorney for the underprivileged who may get close with Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay).

Ironically, Braugher guest starred in an episode of the flagship series Law & Order 15 years ago and he just finished the recently canceled TNT series Men of a Certain Age for which he was recently nominated for an Emmy – for the second consecutive year – as Best Supporting Actor in a Dramatic Series.

His role in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit will mark his return to NBC after his Emmy-winning leading role on Homicide: Life on the Streets.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit will return for its 13th season on NBC starting on September 21 at 10/9c.
