BBC’s SPOOKS Set To End This Fall 2011

Spooks 904

BBC’s long running series SPOOKS will come to a close, ending this Fall 2011 after a ten year run on the network. Announced by the show’s producers, Kudos Film and Television, Spooks has “always wanted to end on a high, but never knew when that time would be.” It looks like that time is now.

Returning for one last season this September, Spooks promises to unveil “one fittingly high, octane thrilling finale,” as stated by BBC executive Ben Stephenson. Fans can expect to see Harry (portrayed by Peter Firth) deal with past secrets in Spooks‘ last season, as well as Erin Watts (played by Lara Pulver) on board as the new leader of The Grid’s Section D. Season 10 will also showcase some fresh new faces from Alice Krige (Deadwood) to guest star Jonathan Hyde (Titanic). Actor Simon Russell Beale (An Ideal Husband) will also be back on board, returning as Home Secretary.

Sad news for Spooks fans, but it sounds like producers of the drama will be sending the show off with a bang.
