Episode Synopsis: COMBAT HOSPITAL (ABC) “Inner Truth” Episode 6 – Seven soldiers brought into the Trauma Bays anxiously wait for the arrival of their lucky charm, 19-year old Private Henry Flax. When the Private’s entire unit survives their injuries without complications, Marks acknowledges lady luck and miraculously, the new CT scanner arrives. Rebecca tries to fulfill Flax’s personal wish by rewriting the protocol for organ donation, and when Nurse Suzy Chao is assigned to help Bobby with his research, she develops a crush on him. Rebecca reveals to Simon that she is jealous of Bobby’s recent success and discusses her feelings with Pedersen. Rumors about Simon circulate when he receives an unusual number of calls from England. Meanwhile, an attractive Canadian Forces warrant officer falls hard and fast for Pedersen on “Combat Hospital,” TUESDAY, JULY 26 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Show Summary: “Combat Hospital” is a fictional medical procedural set in 2006 at the only military hospital providing advanced surgical care in all of Southern Afghanistan. The series charts the frantic lives of the hospital’s resident doctors and nurses from Canada, America, the U.K. and other allied countries, following them as they navigate the relentless life-and-death battles on the operating table, and the never-ending conflicts that arise from working in a war zone military hospital. Commissioned by Global’s original content team and recently picked up by the ABC Television Network, the 13 one-hour episodes will be shot in Toronto until July 2011.

“Combat Hospital” features a diverse ensemble cast, including Elias Koteas (“The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”) as Colonel Marks; Michelle Borth (“Hawaii Five-0”) as Canadian surgeon Dr. Rebecca Gordon; Luke Mably (“The Gates”) as neurosurgeon Dr. Simon Hill; Deborah Kara Unger (“The Hurricane”) as Australian army psychiatrist Major Grace Pedersen, M.D.; Terry Chen (“Sanctuary”) as trauma team leader Captain Bobby Trang; and Arnold Pinnock (“The Listener”) as Commander Will Royal, Chief of Nursing.
