TRUE BLOOD “I’m Alive And On Fire” Review

TRUE BLOOD I'm Alive And On Fire Season 4 Episode 4 (6)

TRUE BLOOD “I’m Alive And On Fire” Season 4 Epsiode 4 – Tonight’s new episode of True Blood didn’t have as many developments as I had been hoping for, but it did leave us with a few things to ponder. Ready for my character breakdown discussion? Let’s get to it.

Sookie

Sookie continues to take care of Eric and from her reaction when Eric asked if he could kiss her, I’m thinking she’s starting to like the new Eric. At least she likes him enough to lie to Bill about him. How things have changed from last season…

Eric

Poor Eric still doesn’t remember who he is. And after he drank Sookie’s fairy godmother, we met drunk Eric pinching Sookie’s butt (which was hilarious by the way). Oh and he can walk in the sun too. Actually this brought up an interesting moment for Eric reminiscing about what it’s like to see the sun.

I’ll be honest though, I do miss the old Eric and hope he’ll be “fixed” by the end of the season.

Bill

So Bill finds a new sex buddy, but of course turns out she’s his great, great, great, great, great (was that the right number of great?) grand-daughter. Yep, let’s try not to think about that one for too long.

Oh and I guess that would make Andy his great, great, great, great, great grand-son. I wonder if that will lead to any interactions between Bill and Andy.

Also while you have to love Bill for trusting Sookie, even though we know that he shouldn’t.

In other news, I really hope Bill is given a bit more to do soon than what he’s been doing so far. Maybe he could get involved in the witches storyline himself (meaning actually meeting them), that could be interesting.

Jason

“My eyes, my eyes! This is getting wronger and wronger. What the hell is wrong with these people?!!” These were the thoughts going through my head during Jason’s rape scene. I am so glad he finally got away.

I have to ask though, what is the deal with the panther bites, is he going to become one? From what crazy Crystal hinted at, it’s going to happen in the full moon. But I thought panthers could change at will, so is it the first transformation that happens during the full moon? And if that’s the case will Jason be compelled to go back to Crystal and her gang?

And here’s another question, with Jessica feeding Jason her vampire blood to heal him, could there be some unpredictable reaction now that he has been bitten by panthers?

I have to say, I think so far Jason has one of the best storylines this season.

Alcide

Alice is back and helping Sookie deal with Eric. And even though these two claim to only be friends, I am not so easily fooled, I see the sparks!

As for Debbie, I’m suspicious there might be more to her than what she’s letting on. I mean she is too different and nice to be believable… or maybe it’s just my paranoid-self.

Sam

So Sam’s new girlfriend has a daughter, whose father is a werewolf. Now that’s interesting. What does that make the girl? Half werewolf/half shifter?

And also that made me think of something, can shifters change into werewolves?

Tommy

It’s so hard to feel bad for Tommy when he goes back home after everything his mom and dad put him through. Even with Sam shooting him, he’s been better to him than his parents have ever been. Case in point, he hasn’t even been back for a day that Joe Lee has him back in chains!

I do have to ask though, couldn’t Tommy turn into a small animal to get out of the chains to escape? I mean he’s a shifter after all.

Arlene and Terry

I’m guessing (really hoping) the baby didn’t write the “Baby Not Yours” message, because if he did then I guess Arlene’s concern was justified. Or maybe it has something to do with that creepy doll Jessica gave him… to be continued…

Lafayette, Jesus, Tara

I’m going to put these three together since they are dealing with the same storyline. I still think they should stay away from all that witchy stuff, I don’t have a good feeling about this. Especially now that reversing the spell put on Eric failed.

Cliffhanger

Speaking of reversing spells, now that Pam has been turned into some sort of living corpse, I’m guessing she’s not going to let that one go. Can’t wait to see what she gets up to in the next episode.
