SUITS “Inside Track” Review

SUITS (USA) "Inside Track" Episode 3

SUITS “Inside Track” Episode 3 – In this episode Mike is still trying to figure out what is important to everyone in the firm, and it turns out that includes throwing a huge party. Doesn’t seem like that would be a big issue but when Harvey points out that part of his strategy was making a good impression (and that’s how he got the power he has at the firm now) Mike quickly gets on it.

Meanwhile Harvey decides that he knows what’s best for a client and starts working on a plan to get one CEO ousted and another (of his choosing) in the seat instead. Still proving that he’s an ass, Harvey also again proves that he’s an ass who knows what he’s doing. Even when things go in the crapper, he just comes back swinging and ends up coming out on top. Again.

Finally, Mike goes to see Trevor again after Jenny asks him to talk to his old friend. While the meeting with Trevor didn’t go too well, things with Jenny get amped up a bit. Trouble is, Mike and Rachel are really getting along well too and it’s obvious there could be something happening there as well. Now I’m just wondering which one he’s going to pick.

My favorite bits..

“I promise to have her back before she turns into a Pontiac.”

Harvey and Lawrence challenging each other in a “who knows more about the Tesla” game.

Wait. Harvey knows cars?? Be still my heart.

Okay usually I’m not a huge fan of Mustangs (I like my muscle cars a little bigger)..but suddenly I’m finding them much more attractive.

Mike asking if their car conversation was billable. Good boy!

The way Harvey told Mike to cancel on his grandmother. The little twitch of his head cracked me up.

“What I sleep with is none of your concern.”
“Neither is the Yankees batting order, but that doesn’t stop me from thinking about it.”

Mike slapping himself awake.

Louis telling Mike that he wasn’t allergic to chicken, he just didn’t like it. Ha.

Louis holding out his hand for Mike to shake and psyching him out by pulling it away. An oldie but a goodie. I know it’s wrong, but I am liking Louis more and more. He makes me laugh.

Finding out that Harvey had the money the whole time. Nice!

Mike finding a mistake that Harvey made. Oops.

“Well Alan.”
“It’s Aaron.”
“I think that says it all, don’t you?”

“First impressions last. You start behind the eight ball, you’ll never get in front.” – Love that!

Mike ending up all alone and talking to himself in Rachel’s office.

Oh burn! Harvey telling the client that the reason they usually have senior partners oversee junior partner’s (aka Louis) work because they miss stuff.

Grandma telling Mike to screw Trevor. Wow, go grandma!

“Gloating’s fine, you just have to not suck at it.”

Mike’s mumbled complaint that Harvey’s slap on the shoulder hurt him.

Finding out that Harvey and Mike were pulling out the “good lawyer, bad lawyer” routine on Dominic. Brilliant.

“It looks kinda funny.”
“So does an eggroll.” – LOL, you know I never thought about it that way.

OMG that mini burger looks so good right now. That’s what I get for writing my review before eating dinner.

Rachel pointing out that if Mike wasn’t going to serve things just because Louis is an asshole..then he wouldn’t have a lot of things on his menu.

Whoa! I never expected a Trevor and Mike fist fight.

Harvey showing a teeny bit of actual emotion when he found out his plan didn’t work.

Harvey finding out just how smart Jessica is.

I can’t say that I blame Mike for telling Dominic to put the wrench down first before talking to him.

“There’s one thing you definitely get. How to ruin it.” – Mike then mumbling and Harvey catching him at it was classic.

“I have to admit, you don’t suck.”
“I wish I could say the same for you.”

Mike telling Louis that there *might* have been some gluten in the ravioli. Haha!

Looks like Harvey turned in the Mustang for the Tesla.

Mike telling Jenny the truth, but then warning her that if she fell for it again, it was on her.

Mike walking away from making out with Jenny and getting a call from Rachel. Wow, talk about complicated.
