The Town’s Rebecca Hall and Sherlock’s Benedict Cumberbatch Together For HBO’s Miniseries PARADE’S END June 6, 2011 BBC UK, HBO, News Rebecca Hall (The Town) and Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) will star in the HBO-BBC five-part miniseries, PARADE’S END set during World War I. The miniseries, based on the four 1920s novels by Ford Madox Ford, is written by Tom Stoppard (Shakespeare in Love) and focuses on Christopher Tietjens (Cumberbatch), an officer and a gentleman, as he is thrown from the secure, orderly world of Edwardian England into the chaotic madness of the First World War. In addition, the story follows the complex relationship between Tietjens and faithless wife, Sylvia (Hall). Sounds right up my alley! Production for the series will begin in the fall.
