You might have heard that FOX’s THE X FACTOR judge Cheryl Cole, had been let go because her heavy accent made it hard for Americans to understand her. To replace her, FOX decided to pick former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, who was originally set to host the show along with Steve Jones.

And to make matters worse, it seems that now Cheryl Cole won’t even be back in the British version of the show, where she used to be a judge.

UK channel ITV, which airs the British version of The X Factor announced this morning the new 2011 judges panel line-up, which includes Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos, Kelly Rowland and Louis Walsh, with Walsh, the only returning judge.

Regarding this new line-up Simon Cowell had this to say:

“These four are totally up for it, each of them bring a different attitude. They have had a ton of hits between them and they are all committed to finding a star. I have a feeling Louis and Tulisa will have slightly different points of view as to what the next star should look and sound like!”

The X Factor will return for its eighth series in the UK this Summer, while the US version will premiere this Fall in the US on FOX.
