The Tudors’ Rod Hallett Is Going Way Back in Time for TERRA NOVA May 23, 2011 News, Terra Nova British actor Rod Hallett is going from the period drama The Tudors to a drama set much farther back (and forward): TERRA NOVA. Deadline reports that Hallet is joining FOX’s fall sci-fi fest as a series regular, playing Dr. Malcolm Wallace. Terra Nova will follow Jim and Elisabeth Shannon (Jason O’Mara and Shelley Conn), an ordinary couple from the year 2149 who travel 85 million years back to prehistoric times with their kids to take part in an extraordinary experiment designed to save our dying planet. Wallace will be another member of the Terra Nova team who becomes Jim’s rival for Elisabeth’s affections. Guess that saving humankind thing isn’t as complicated as we thought if there’s time to be playing romantic musical chairs. Hallett played Sir Richard Rich in Showtime’s The Tudors and Mac in the British series The Silence. Jason O’Mara or Rod Hallett? Whom would you choose? Terra Nova will premiere on FOX this fall.
