Oz’s Ernie Hudson and Game of Thrones’ Lena Headey to Hang with Mozzie on WHITE COLLAR

The third season of WHITE COLLAR could be its best yet if guest casting and some very welcome focus on Mozzie are any indication. The USA buddy action-drama is enlisting a couple of heavy hitters to appear in episodes that delve more into the life of our favorite con man conspiracy theorist.

First up, Ernie Hudson of Ghostbusters, Oz, and Law & Order fame will play Mozzie’s childhood mentor Isaac Jeffries in an upcoming episode that will give us a glimpse of Mozzie as a kid. Show creator and executive producer Jeff Eastin told TV Guide, “It’s not going to be a straight flashback episode, but we will see young Mozzie. We will get to see why he’s called Mozzie and how he came to be and how he came to New York.”

Hudson can currently be seen in The Secret Life of the American Teenager and he is attached to the long-rumored Ghostbusters III.

Lena Headey may be royally busy on HBO’s Game of Thrones, but she apparently still has time to play a different sort of game with Mozzie when she drops by White Collar as a hacker named Sally in an upcoming episode. Sally is suspected of a big-time cyber crime, but the most intriguing part of her character description is that she “gets close” to Mozzie. We don’t know how close she gets, but I’m hoping it’s very because that could be fun.

Before playing Queen Cersei on Game of Thrones, Headey was Sarah Connor on FOX’s Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

What do you think of this Mozzie-centric casting news? Anyone else excited to see him as a tot?

The third season of White Collar premieres on USA Tuesday, June 7 at 9pm eastern/8 central.
