Sad News: OUTSOURCED Cancelled

Sad news, NBC will not be renewing the freshman comedy series OUTSOURCED for a second season. The show just aired its season finale this past thursday.

When the show began airing, there was a bit of controversy as the concept of a comedy centered around an indian call center doing jobs taken from americans was a bit of risk in the current economic climate. On top of that, critics were wary of the stereotypes that were expected to come along with this kind of subject matter.

Well a season later, the show managed to gather some steam and a loyal following as evidenced by its 263,850 fans on facebook who had the following things to say about the cancellation:

Goodbye, Outsourced. Thanks for giving us a great little show and a great series finale. Going to miss ya. Good luck to all the cast and crew.

Please don’t cancel this show! 🙁 It’s so funny!

One of the best shows out there. Im really gonna miss it 🙁

Here’s what some of the cast had to say about the news on Twitter:

Thank you all for the wonderful journey and year! We hope, as a cast, we made you laugh and smile. Namaste!Parvesh Cheena (Gupta)

Farewell to OUTSOURCED. What a wonderful year it has been. Thank you so much for the support. It was an amazing series to be part of. Anisha Nagarajan (Madhuri)
