Adrian Pasdar (Heroes) and Bryan Batt (Mad Men) have signed on to guest star in NBC’s LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT. According to a TVGuide.com exclusive report, “Pasdar will play a wine collector named Mason Kent. Batt will portray a premiere wine sommelier, also known as ‘The Nose.’” They become murder suspects when a high-end wine connoisseur, who is also a wine counterfeiter, is locked in his cellar and dies of a heart attack. The episode will be titled “Trophy Wine.”

In March, Pasdar was cast in the lead role of NBC’s untitled pilot from creator Kari Lizer (New Adventures of Old Christine). Batt last appeared in a recurring role on Ugly Betty.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent is currently in its tenth and final season. It is good to see that the show continues to take the effort to cast quality actors. Cynthia Nixon was also previously announced to appear in an upcoming episode, loosely based on the problem-plagued Broadway show, Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent airs Sundays at 9/8c on USA network.
