WWE’s Edge Will Seek HAVEN on Syfy this Summer

Syfy’s HAVEN continues to add characters for its sophomore season, this time casting a long-term town resident. The network announced that recently retired WWE superstar Edge will join the supernatural drama in the guest-starring role of Dwight Hendrickson.

Dwight served as a confidant to Nathan’s (Lucas Bryant) late father and assisted the former sheriff in keeping particularly suspicious supernatural activity under wraps. Now Haven’s acting sheriff, Nathan finds himself reaching out to Dwight just as his father did before him. There’s no word on whether Dwight is Troubled.

As previously announced, Vinessa Antoine (Being Erica) joins the cast as Evi Ryan, and Jason Priestley (Call Me Fitz) will also come to HavenHaven was a slow-starter last year. I immediately liked the characters but was unsure about the show until about the eighth episode when they started kicking the mythology into high gear. Now I can’t wait for season 2 and every bit of news gets me more excited.

Any other Haven fans anxious for the new season? What do you think of the casting news so far?

Haven‘s second season premieres on Syfy Friday, July 15 at 10pm eastern/9 central.
