BLUE MOUNTAIN STATE Season 3 Announced

Spike TV is going long for laughs once again this fall. The network announced today that it has renewed its college football comedy BLUE MOUNTAIN STATE for a thirteen episode third season. The show’s ratings jumped in season 2, delivering a +33% increase in Men 18-34, +50% in Men 18-24, and +14% in Men 18-49.

Season 3 will find Coach Daniels (Ed Marinaro, Hill Street Blues) faced with a challenge to his authority when the boosters force him to hire a hotshot offensive coordinator/head coach-in-waiting. Denise Richards will be reprising her role as Debra, Coach Daniels sexy, sharp-tongued ex-wife. Meanwhile, Alex (Darin Brooks, Blue Crush) will have to step up in season 3 from being a fun-loving second-string to the starting quarterback. Alan Ritchson (Smallville) will also be back as the over-the- top team captain.

Brian Robbins and Sharla Sumpter Bridgett are executive producers of Blue Mountain State. Romanski, who stars as Sammy the Mascot, and Eric Falconer (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) also serve as executive producers and writers.
