BREAKING IN “Need for Speed” Review

BREAKING IN (FOX) Need for Speed

BREAKING IN “Need for Speed” Season 1 Episode 3 – After Cameron promises to do whatever it takes to get a job done (and thereby get his desk out of the dungeon with the rest of the computer geeks), he has to do the unthinkable. He has to…help Dutch.

After Dutch lies to Melanie she dumps him. Normally this would be good news but since Dutch is an integral part of the job (being the big NASCAR fan that he is) and can’t work with his heart broken, Cameron has no choice but to use his considerable skills to help the lucky couple fall in love all over again. It works so well in fact that Oz is impressed by Dutch’s work and hires him onto the team full time.

I know it’s gonna suck for Cameron but I found that to be great news. I’m in love with Dutch. There, I said it. He is awesome. Period.

My favorite bits..

Finding out that Cameron apparently put the Hamburglar on the Most Wanted List. Actually that’s not nearly as weird to me as the fact that I have had reason to type the word “Hamburglar” twice in three days. Weird.

Dutch referring to Cameron as his girl’s “asexual bestie, totally non-threatening.” Ouch.

Dutch deciding to go green after seeing Waterworld. Well, it’s nice to see that at least something good came from that flick.

Kinda being attracted to Dutch’s muppet…what?

Creepy Carol eating her banana like a piece of corn. Creeeeeeepppyyyyyy..

Josh not hesitating to taze himself in the face just because Oz told him to.

Dutch telling Jimmy that he was his second favorite man on the planet, after the guy who invented booze.

Oz holding Cameron’s lips closed to keep him quiet.

Cash holding his own lips closed to keep himself quiet.

Cameron finding out that Dutch was broke, his couch was now a blow-up pool toy and

Cash’s copier ordering him to kill humans.

Oz continuously appearing out of secret rooms and denying it every time.

Cameron breaking down and telling Melanie the truth about Dutch. Yep, that didn’t take long.

Aw, that whole “Christmas in Central Park” thing was sweet.

Trying to figure out exactly what songs would be on a Billy Joel workout playlist.

Cash getting Oz’d by Oz.

Cash asking where warp speed was on the car. Har.
