Tina Fey has announced that Condoleezza Rice will be appearing in an upcoming episode of NBC’s 30 ROCK, reports The Washington Post on its entertainment blog, The TV Column. Fey revealed the news at a book signing in Washington, D.C., promoting her new memoir, Bossypants.

Rice was National Security Advisor and United States Secretary of State in President George W. Bush’s administration. She also has the distinction of being part of 30 Rock TV history as one of Jack Donaghy’s (Alec Baldwin) ex-girlfriends. Their fictional relationship began in season 1. Because a jealous Jack couldn’t handle seeing the flirtation between Vladimir Putin and Condoleeza, he broke up with her saying that they weren’t compatible.

Another political figure, Bill Clinton, was approached by Fey and the 30 Rock team about appearing in the show’s 100th episode, according to TVSquad.com. The request was immediately denied by his camp. However, we do still have a guest appearance by Tom Hanks to look forward to this season.

NBC’s 30 Rock next airs on Thursday, April 21 at 10/9c (the 100th episode)!
