Dawson’s Creek’s Kerr Smith to Guest Star on NCIS

Affair Remembered - Kerr Smith

This Port-to-Port Killer (aka the P2PKiller) looks to be giving Gibbs and the rest of the team at NCIS a run for their money. TVGuide.com reports that the hit CBS series has recruited another agent to help with the case.

Former Dawson’s Creek star Kerr Smith has signed on for a two-episode arc on the show that will air at the end of this season. Smith is set to play Lt. Jonas Cobb, who is described as a confident former military man.

Executive producer Gary Glasberg had this to say about Kerr’s role:

“Lt. Cobb’s unique talents and training will play a key role in helping the team figure out the identity of the Port-to-Port Killer.”

Team Gibbs already has quite a few hands helping with the case. First there was team leader E.J. Barrett (Sarah Jane Morris) who started the case in Rota, Spain (the same place where Agent DiNozzo would have been had he accepted that promotion he was offered a few years ago). Then came NUMB3RS star Alimi Ballard and Matthew Willig, who are set to make their appearances into tonight’s episode as E.J.’s team.

In addition to playing Jack on Dawson’s Creek, Smith has also starred on such series as E-Ring, Justice, and most recently, Life Unexpected. He also had a recurring role on ABC’s Eli Stone and had a memorable performance in CSI: NY as the “333 Caller.”

NCIS airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on CBS. Smith is set to appear in the May 10 episode as well as the May 17 season finale.
