Justin Bruening Joins WONDER WOMAN Cast

KNIGHT RIDER - Deanna Russo as Sarah Graiman, Justin Bruening as Mike

The casting news continues for NBC’s WONDER WOMAN! Justin Bruening, who starred in the cancelled 2008 Knight Rider reboot, has signed on as the second male lead of NBC’s latest remake. This version of Wonder Woman stars Adrienne Palicki in the title role, playing a crime fighting, modern woman who is a successful corporate executive trying to balance the multiple roles in her life.

TVLine.com reports that Bruening will play Steve Trevor, an army vet who now works in the Justice department and is a potential love interest for Diana.

Bruening will join a previously announced cast of Cary Elwes as Henry Detmer, the acting CEO of Themyscira Industries, Elizabeth Hurley as villainous scientist and businesswoman Veronica Cale, Pedro Pascal as Ed Indelicato, a police officer who befriends Wonder Woman, and Tracie Thoms, Diana’s personal assistant Etta Candy.

Still not much is known about the Wonder Woman script or storylines, but a rumored “first draft” revealed in February was supposedly not well-received by critical comic fans. Then there is the general grumbling about the new Wonder Woman costume, too!

Written by David E. Kelley, NBC’s Wonder Woman pilot will be directed by Jeffrey Reiner (The Event, Trauma).
