Jonathan Cake Joins DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES March 24, 2011 Desperate Housewives, News Jonathan Cake has signed on as a new love interest for Bree (Marcia Cross) in ABC’s DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES. He will play the character Aaron, who as TVLine.com describes is “a handsome, sexy, college-educated police detective with strong family values who comes to Wisteria Lane to investigate a case.” Cake will become a series regular in the fall after appearing in this season’s final four episodes. Cake has had recurring roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Chuck, and Law & Order. He also appeared in many ABC projects, including the mini-series Empire, Six Degrees, and Captain Cook’s Extraordinary Atlas. Most recently Cake guest starred in Off the Map (He was the one with bacon on his chest, being “dewormed.”), as well as appeared in Marple: The Pale Horse. Desperate Housewives has not yet been picked up for an eighth-season, which will be contingent upon the show’s four stars signing new deals. No worries, since this is expected to happen.
