Adrianne Palicki as WONDER WOMAN First Photo

Check out the first photo of Adrianne Palicki as the title character in NBC’s new series WONDER WOMAN that was just sent to us by the nice people at Warner Bros. It was only a month ago that we found out about Adrianne Palicki nabbing the part, and it’s exciting to get our first look at the revamped series only a month later.

The pilot episode is written by David E. Kelley (“Boston Legal,” “Ally McBeal,” NBC’s “Harry’s Law”), who also serves as executive producer along with Bill D’Elia (“Boston Legal,” “The Practice,” NBC’s “Harry’s Law”), and directed by Jeffrey Reiner (“The Event”).

I personally never watched the original series, but this seems pretty close to the original Wonder Woman costume. I think the big test will be to actually see Adrianne Palicki in action.

This is my first time hearing about a rerelease of Wonder Woman but I’ll definitely be checking it out! Love the costume!!

This looks worse than I thought. Her costume is wrong and she really doesn’t have the figure for the part. She looks like someone going as Wonder woman for Halloween. The plot sounds even worse. As much as I have been waiting for a new Wonder Woman TV show or movie I don’t think this is it.

    • Yeah, I think a lot of people were disappointed by the costume because it looks a little too much like a costume you would see at Comic Con. I just hope it looks better on camera.

Gotta say I agree with chrisjozo and Sandie, the costume is severely disappointing. Incorporate the W’s into the bust design and what’s with the stars appliques on the bust and chest? Comic-con isn’t bad enough, it may last 3 episodes before the network realizes it’s looking worse than The Bionic Woman…

I can’t think of a single way David E. Kelley is not going to completely wreck Wonder Woman.

And I like David E. Kelley.

He’s keeping the invisible plane. Of all things. (Because that’s the first thing a jungle island filled with Amazons would have—a freaking invisible jet!)

    Meh.

    Costume looks cheap.

And the lip color? Hooker-red? She’s painted up like a tart. The costume looks like plastic — hardly the ‘armor’ Kelley intended it to be. Travesty.
