HBO and Chloe Sevigny Developing Lizzie Borden Miniseries

Chloe Sevigny Big Love
Big Love may be ending, but that doesn’t mean we’ve seen the end of Chloe Sevigny on HBO. Deadline reports she is back in business with the pay station, this time for a four-hour miniseries about Lizzie Borden.

Sevigny will not only star as the notorious Borden, who was acquitted of murdering her father and stepmother with an ax, but she is also on board as a co-executive producer. In fact, this project has been her baby all along. She took it to Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman, who will serve as executive producers under the Playtone banner. Sevigny also found Bryce Kass to write the script, and he is doing so now.

Lizzie Borden lived in Fall River, Massachusetts, and was accused of the August 4, 1892 brutal hatchet murder of her father and step-mother. Though she was acquitted at trial, she was widely condemned for the crimes and no one else was ever tried.

Sevigny will next be seen in the feature film The Wait, which will be released later this year.
