GREY’S ANATOMY Casts Arizona’s Parents March 14, 2011 Grey's Anatomy, News Something big must be happening in Seattle this May because TV Guide reports the show has cast Arizona’s (Jessica Capshaw) parents for a sweeps episode of GREYS ANATOMY. Denis Arndt (The Practice) has snagged the role of Colonel Robbins’, Arizona’s father, while her mother Barbara will be played by Judith Ivey (Designing Women). The show is now in the process of casting Callie’s (Sara Ramirez) mother Lucia to play opposite Hector Elizondo’s Carlos Torres. No reason has been given for the four parents to visit their daughters. Rumors are flying that Callie and Arizona are getting married, but it could also have to do with the baby. What do you think prompts the visit? Arndt has recently guest-starred in Past Life and Supernatural while Ivey has had roles in Big Love and The Whole Truth. Grey’s Anatomy airs on ABC Thursdays at 9pm eastern/8 central.
