Jason Priestley Heads to HAVEN

Call Me Fitz
It’s been a long time since there was any news about Syfy’s HAVEN, but we finally have our first casting scoop for the new season. Jason Priestley is joining the supernatural drama in a recurring role.

Priestley will play Chris Weekly, a handsome but anti-social marine biologist who must deal with an affliction most would consider a blessing. He joins Emily Rose, who plays Audrey Parker, a former FBI agent with a knack for investigating the supernatural; Lucas Bryant, who plays Nathan Wournos, a handsome local cop with his own supernatural affliction; and Eric Balfour, who plays Duke Crocker, a local smuggler and reluctant aide in solving Haven’s troubles. Haven is based on The Colorado Kid from renowned author Stephen King.

In addition to appearing in four episodes of Haven, Priestley is also set to direct an installment.

What do you think about this casting? Any ideas as to what Chris’ affliction might be?

Haven‘s thirteen episode second season will begin production on April 1 and is set to premiere on Syfy this summer.
