Donal Logue Cast in ABC Drama Pilot HALLELUJAH

Donal Logue interview

After falling in love with Terriers last year, as well as both of its stars (Donal Logue and Michael Raymond-James) I was very happy to find out this bit of news.

TVLine.com reports that Donal Logue is returning to broadcast television as the lead in Marc Cherry’s drama pilot called HALLELUJAH.

The series is set in the town of Hallelujah, Tennesse. There, the forces of good and evil are exemplified by hard-working, moral diner owner Rye Turner (Logue). He’s a family man who has had a run of tragic luck, and his long-time nemesis, corrupt millionaire Del Roman (Lost alum Terry O’Quinn, who was just cast in the series), who is a law unto himself. It looks like Del is winning the battle, that is until mysterious newcomer Jared O’Neal (Jesse L. Martin) arrives in town.

The pilot marks a return to ABC for Logue, where he starred the underrated comedy series Knights of Prosperity.
