AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL “Lori Goldstein” Review

AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL (ANTM) Cycle 16 Lori Goldstein

AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL “Lori Goldstein” Cycle 16 Episode 3 – The best comedy on television is returns for another week. Of course, we are laughing at the misfortunes of hopeful young women trying to break out of their monotonous existence. But these women are models, so the notion that they are human is still up for debate. Plus, they’re the shrieking minions of Tyra Banks, who, as fantastically crazy as she is, is definately from another world. I like to call it “Tyra Land”.

This week the models get their makeovers. Makeover episodes are always entertaining, mainly because they consist of a lot of tears and tantrums. This week was no exception. A blonde model was concerned about her frizzy weave. An androgynous model was concerned about her manly style. The more they cry, the more chance they have of getting the boot.

Lori Goldstein (who is apparently a fashion designer) dresses the girls for a couture group photo of Alice In Wonderland. There is a lot of crying about pimpled lips and robotic movements.

Alexandria (pimple lip) is criticized for being cranky. Brittany and Hannah are congratulated for a fantastic photo. Dominique has no thoughts in her head. Molly, after spending much of the episode sobbing about her weave, is given Tyra’s word to fix her weave.

Alexandria is the winner of the best photo, which I personally, with all my expertise, disagree with. Then there is Molly. The final two are Dominique and Sarah (the quirky, odd, non-typical beauties). Sarah might not BELIEVE in herself, she may not know that she CAN be amazing. But Sarah, ultimately, is the one who stays, and the infinitely more entertaining Dominique is sent home.
