Louise Lombard Returns to CSI

Louise Lombard CSI: Crime Scene Investigation

Louise Lombard is returning to CBS’ CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION, TVLine.com reveals exclusively. During May sweeps, the former series regular will reprise her role as Sofia Curtis, who is now a deputy chief with a “take no prisoners” attitude.

The return of serial killer Nate Haskell is the backdrop for the episode featuring Lombard. CSI executive producer Carol Mendelsohn tells TVLine.com that the episode focuses on the efforts to locate Nate who presumably escapes prison for one final showdown with his archenemy Dr. Raymond Langston (Laurence Fishburne).

Sofia and Langston get off on the wrong foot right from the start. She thinks Nate is in Mexico, so she wants to call in the feds. But Langston thinks he may still be in Las Vegas, or at least not in Mexico. Mendelsohn explains that “Sofia actually blames Langston and Catherine (Marg Helgenberger) for Haskell’s escape. And she blames Brass (Paul Guilfoyle).”

Of course, the team eventually gets back on track with the search.

Currently, Lombard is only set to appear in one episode, but Mendelsohn hints at the possibility of a appearance in the season finale too.
