DOCTOR WHO Season 6 Premiere Date Announced

docto who season 6 bbc america
This is a really exciting news! After a few months of waiting, we finally have a premiere date for Season 6 of DOCTOR WHO on BBC America. According to EW, the new season of my all time favorite show will premiere on Saturday, April 23 at 9 p.m ET. The first episode will be a Part One of a two-parter opening for the season, written by brilliant showrunner Steven Moffat.

But that’s not all! As we previously learned, the two-part season opener will be set in the late ’60s and the Doctor, Amy, and Rory will find themselves on a secret summons that takes them on an adventure from the desert of Utah to the Oval Office.

Oh and did I mention River Song (Alex Kingston) would be returning this season, along with new guest star Mark Sheppard (Supernatural, Battlestar Galactica)?

One last thing, in addition to the premiere date, EW also got their hands on the new Doctor Who poster which you can see above. Enjoy!

Oh April, you just cannot get here soon enough! Who else is excited to be getting The Doctor back on our screens?
