Taraji P. Henson and James Caviezel have been cast in J.J. Abrams and Jonah Nolan’s CBS drama pilot PERSON OF INTEREST. They join the previously confirmed Michael Emerson in this Warner Bros. Television project. The Hollywood Reporter states that “the drama centers on a paramilitary CIA officer (Caviezel) who is presumed killed in the line of duty, but resurfaces in New York City where he teams up with an eccentric billionaire (Emerson) to clean up the city’s violent underworld.” Henson will play Carter, an NYPD detective, according to NYmag.com.

Henson is likely best known for her role as Queenie in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, for which she was nominated for an Academy Award. She most recently appeared in Lifetime’s Taken from Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story, and has not had a recurring role on a TV series since ABC’s Eli Stone and Boston Legal.

Caviezel’s last regular TV stint was in AMC’s 2009 remake of The Prisoner, co-starring Ian McKellen. Remembered for his role as Jesus in Passion of the Christ, Caviezel also starred in movies such as Frequency and The Thin Red Line.
