Elizabeth Hurley and Pedro Pascal Cast in WONDER WOMAN Reboot

Elizabeth Hurley and Pedro Pascal

It looks like NBC’s WONDER WOMAN reboot has found a nemesis for its title heroine. TVLine.com reports that Elizabeth Hurley has been cast in the series.

The actress herself reported the news via Twitter, saying she “will be playing the evil villain” in the David E. Kelley-scripted pilot.

However word from a source near the project says that there are still some outstanding visa issues that have to get sorted out before Hurley’s deal becomes official. But once that all gets worked out, the British actress/model is set to play the role of Veronica Cale. The character has been described as an evil scientist and businesswoman with a secret, nefarious plan. Right now the role is technically being billed as a one-time guest stint, but there’s every chance that it could evolve into a recurring gig should the show get picked up.

In more casting news for the series, The Hollywood Reporter reports that Pedro Pascal had been cast in the show as well. The actor is set to play the role of Ed Indelicato, a police officer who befriends Wonder Woman. Previously, Pascal has had recurring roles in The Good Wife and FX’s Lights Out.

Hurley and Pascal join Adrianne Palicki (Friday Night Lights), who stars as Wonder Woman/Diana Themyscira, while Tracie Thoms (Cold Case) will play Etta, Diana’s personal assistant.
