CALIFORNICATION “Lights, Camera, Asshole” Advance Review

CALIFORNICATION “Lights, Camera, Asshole” Season 4 Episode 8 – Are you planning on watching this weeks episode of Californication? Before I start talking about “Lights, Camera, Asshole” let’s quickly refresh our memories on what happened last week. As you may recall, Marcy and Charlie successfully pitched Marcy’s life story as a new television show for Showtime. Hank went lawyer shopping against his will but ended up keeping Abby.

In “Lights, Camera, Asshole” things start picking up again. Sasha Bingham makes a reappearance into Hank’s life with a business deal. Hank offers advice to Becca who is beginning to act more and more like her father (much to Hank’s disappointment). Karen supports Marcy during a difficult decision and Marcy gets more serious with Stew. Hank finds himself in an awkward “Mrs. Robinson” situation and Charlie meets somebody new. Tommy Lee guest stars.

I thought that “Lights, Camera, Asshole” was a fun episode and much better than last week’s. Every week I think Hank has hit rock bottom and then he does something to hit a new low. When will this guy learn how to behave? I think in my “Lawyers, Guns, and Money” review I said this season of Californication was like a throw back to old school L.A. and it definitely felt that way in this episode with the Tommy Lee cameo. I really hope Becca is able to keep her head on her shoulders and end up like Karen instead of Hank. Also, what do you think of Marcy and Stew as a couple? After last week when Marcy and Charlie pitched the show together, I was hoping to see them reconcile. Do you think Hank and Karen will ever get back together? Part of me thinks that Hank has gone to far to ever get her forgiveness.

Don’t forget to watch Californication this Sunday on Showtime at 9:00 pm. After you have watched the show, please come back, leave me a comment and let me know what you thought!
