Leelee Sobieski Joins ROOKIES

The Good Wife (CBS) - Breaking Up

Leelee Sobieski has been cast in the CBS drama pilot ROOKIES, reports Deadline.com. Rookies is an “ensemble cop show that centers on six NYPD cops trying to balance their personal lives while working the mean streets of Manhattan.” Sobieski is the first actor to join the pilot, which will be directed by James Mangold (3:10 to Yuma) and written by crime novelist Richard Price (Clockers, The Color of Money).

Sobieski will play one of the six cops, Gen Perry, who is a California girl and used to be a member of the White House Color Guard. As described by Deadline.com, she “can handle herself whether dealing with a gang-banger or a busted toilet.”

Robert De Niro’s Tribeca Productions and CBS TV Studios are producing the series. De Niro will act as executive producer, along with writer Price and Jane Rosenthal (Little Fockers producer) who co-founded Tribeca Productions with De Niro.

Sobieski has most recently guest starred on CBS’ The Good Wife and Lifetime’s Drop Dead Diva.

Did you know?: Sobieski’s full name is super long – Liliane Rudabet Gloria Elsveta Sobieski (as stated in the IMDb). Fancy!
