Kiefer Sutherland May Return to FOX in New Drama TOUCH

Kiefer Sutherland

Listen up all you 24 fans. It looks like Kiefer Sutherland might be making his way back to FOX. TVLine.com reports that the actor is in negotiations to star in TOUCH.

The new drama comes from Heroes creator Tim Kring and is produced, like 24, by 20th Century Fox TV. The show follows a father (the role Sutherland has been offered) who discovers that his autistic, mute son can predict events before they happen.

Kring wrote the project on spec, making this his first pilot script since Heroes. Meanwhile Charles McDougall is in talks to direct, great news considering he also helmed the pilots for ABC’s Desperate Housewives, CBS’ The Good Wife and, most recently, Fox’s The Chicago Code. That’s what I call a great track record.

The only trouble Sutherland could have with taking the offer is his duties on Broadway. The actor currently stars in a revival of Jason Miller’s That Championship Season. The play opened last week and marks Sutherland’s Broadway debut.

Sutherland played CTU agent Jack Bauer for eight seasons on 24 and it quickly became his signature role, earning him an Emmy Award in 2006.
