BONES “The Daredevil in the Mold” Review

BONES (FOX) The Daredevil in the Mold

BONES “The Daredevil in the Mold” Season 6 Episode 13 – Alright so we all saw the previews for this episode last week and we were all waiting for the proposal. I for one was dreading it and that kinda surprised me as I’ve never had a problem with Hannah. But I think the reason I was okay with her was that I never thought Booth and Hannah’s relationship would go very far. This was just supposed to be a temporary girlfriend to provide some extra drama – Booth wasn’t supposed to marry her!

Also I felt that it was much too soon and I couldn’t figure out what would make Booth think of proposing. Then of course that was explained in the opening scene as Sweets drunkenly admitted that he didn’t want to end up alone at Booth’s age. Jeesh, after a conversation like that who can blame the poor guy for running out to get a ring?

In the end she said no and I felt both relief that he wasn’t going to marry her, but also very sad about how much pain it caused Booth. And now, because of his completely broken heart, I don’t think he’ll be thinking about Bones again anytime soon. I’m sure some people are hoping that’s what’s going to happen now that Hannah is
(apparently) out of the picture but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

My favorite bits…

Sweets talking about all the things he loves about Daisy. Too cute.

Sweets telling Booth that he didn’t want to be his age and end up like him. Oh dear, someone has definitely had too much to drink.

Sweets promising Booth that their conversation was stuck in his “shrink vault.”

Cam telling Booth that if she had to talk to Sweets about Daisy, she would’ve gotten soused too.

Hodgins telling Fisher that while the nylon wouldn’t mark the bones, it was perfect for strangling.

Fisher smugly informing Hodgins that he could read lips. Oops.

Literally groaning out loud when Hodgins came out with something called “dog vomit slime mold.” – Ick!

Fisher saying that there was app for tracking bed bugs. Ha.

Hodgins calling bedbugs “bedbunnies.” I gotta say, I appreciated it as much as Cam did.

Thinking that Angela was doing a pretty good job at acting like an FBI agent.

The kid claiming that his leg was only broken “a little.” LOL.

Hodgins’ description of what he wanted his kid to be like – in other words the coolest person ever.

Bones ordering Fisher to give his findings, despite the combined effects of the tea and sounds of the ocean. Ha, that’s what he gets.

Bones telling Fisher that she was glad they had a reason to tolerate his foul smelling beverages.

Aw, I thought the ring that Sweets picked out was nice.

Trying to understand exactly what was going through Booth’s head as he was picking out his ring.

As much as I’ve been enjoying Hannah and Booth’s relationship, I still felt a little happy when she turned down his proposal. I sure didn’t like how much it hurt him though.

Being more than a little shocked when Booth asked Hannah to move out. I can’t say that I was expecting that.

My heart breaking for Booth when he threw the ring in the water. Poor Booth.

My heart really, really breaking when Booth described how no woman ever seemed to want what he was offering.

What did you think of this episode of Bones? Got any favorite bits or least favorite bits of your own? I’d love to hear from you!
