PRETTY LITTLE LIARS “Je Suis Un Ami” Review

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS "Je Suis Une Amie"

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS “Je Suis an Ami” Episode 16 – Although this week’s episode of Pretty Little Liars was not as fast paced or action pack as the last few, there were still eventful moments. Things are really coming to a head for almost every character, so let’s break it down, shall we?

Aria – Aria is highly suspicious that her mother, father, or both of them were at the museum the night she was there with Ezra. Hanna tries to tell her all kinds of ways to stop freaking, but she is Aria so she cannot resist. She follows her dad to the school at night, suspicious that he is seeing someone secretly. Even when she finds out it is her mother, she declares that they are having “an affair” with each other. One thing she refuses to be suspicious about is Hanna even when A sends her the message about her mother and Hanna’s involvement. Unfortunately with Hanna’s admission, I think their friendship really might be over.

Hanna – She has really been put through the wringer these days. When she told Aria the truth, I wanted to shout at her not to do it. The problem is, that is who Hanna is now. She is honest and caring and sensitive. That is how A gets her to do things that goes against her friendship, by using her relationship with her mother. Someone else that has noticed her lately is Caleb, the new mysterious and apparently homeless student. How sweet was it for Hanna to hide him in her basement? How sweet was it that he stayed with her as she cried over Aria? I want them to end up together.

Spencer – She is hard at work trying to figure out who is framing whom and why her name was on the bead receipts. She is big enough to apologize to Emily for suspecting Toby and even bigger to apologize to him directly. I am sure a friendship is forming between them. She even remembered what book he had read only seeing him reading once. That girl is so smart it is scary. If any of the girls can figure out this A mystery, I am sure it will be Spencer. For what it’s worth, it appears that her truce with her sister is over. Ian was proactive and told Melissa about he and Spencer that summer. This ensures that Melissa will never believe anything Spencer says about Ian and Allison. That Ian is creepy.

Emily – Her part was rather dull this week. Her competition with Paige is over. I am not sure why Paige decided to quit swimming or fake a bicycle accident or appear on Emily’s doorstep in the middle of the night in the rain. It was very nice of Emily to try to show Paige how to get back to her love for swimming. However, I absolutely protest any romantic relationship between them.

How creepy was that final scene? I am not sure what the mysterious figure is planning or even if it is the same person that we see week after week, but when that record started to skip on “je suis” over and over, I just kept saying in my head “I am, I am…who ARE you?” Yes, I am hooked. What about you? What did you think of this episode of Pretty Little Liars? Who do you think is involved in those creepy last scenes? What are Melissa and Ian up to?
