Kiefer Sutherland, Jane Lynch and More to do Guest Spots on THE SIMPSONS

I can still remember when THE SIMPSONS was just a short little cartoon that popped up on the old Tracey Ullman Show and now it’s already up to its 23rd season.

Starting on March 3, the animated FOX show will begin recording voice talent for the latest season and according to TVGuide.com, there are going to be some big names standing behind those microphones.

Executive producer Al Jean reports that episodes coming this fall will feature characters voiced by guest stars Kiefer Sutherland, Jane Lynch, Andy Garcia and science fiction and comic book author Neil Gaiman (Coraline).

Says Jean:

“Jane plays a woman who becomes Homer’s assistant. It becomes an All About Eve scenario where she seems really nice, but undermines him, takes his job and he has to fight back.”

As for Sutherland, the character he’s voicing is apparently very similar to his 24 crusader.

Says Jean:

“It’s Jack Bauer now – no longer working. So he goes to Springfield because too many people are trying to kill him. He befriends the Simpsons, but then one of the guys who wants to kill him sees him on YouTube after he foils a robbery at Moe’s Tavern.”
