GOSSIP GIRL “Panic Roommate” Review

GOSSIP GIRL Panic Roommate

GOSSIP GIRL “Panic Roommate” Season 4 Episode 14 – Alright you Gossip Girl fans, I will be taking over for Amie this week, so let’s talk about tonight’s new episode. I thought it was a pretty fun episode of Gossip Girl, which had quite a satisfying resolution, wouldn’t you say?

Chuck: So Chuck was playing Raina after all, and although I was wondering why Raina wasn’t more suspicious of him, it seems that Chuck might have really fallen for her. But I gotta ask, do you think Chuck really has feelings for Raina? There are so many going back and forth, I’m not really sure what to believe anymore. Plus part of me wishes he has a bigger plan to con her.

Also I am honestly getting a little tired of this whole takeover storyline, I want more drama related to the rest of the gang. Hopefully next week we’ll move on from that.

Blair: So Blair decided to ask Nate to get together with her boss? That’s an interesting way to try and keep your job. This of course backfires in a way she didn’t expect, her boss quitting her job and leaving her in charge (which side note: so not believable, you mean to tell me that out of all the other people working in the office, Blair, the intern, is the only available choice to replace her? Really?). Not sure where that’s going.

Serena: I’ll go and ahead and say it, I like Ben and Serena together. It think it shakes things up a bit from Serena going back and forth between Nate and Dan, and that’s a welcome change. Plus Ben has this cute puppy dog look. So adorable.

I was also so happy that Serena didn’t believe all the lies about Ben hitting Damien, and stuck by him till the end.

Dan: What Dan, Eric and Damien did to Ben was just horrible and I was expecting more from Dan and Eric, but I guess this wouldn’t be Gossip Girl if there wasn’t drama, I just wish some of these characters would wise up and be decent people once in a while. Thankfully, they sort of made it up to Ben in the end, but they can be a little thick sometimes.

Eric: Ah Eric how you disappointed me, seriously lying about Ben hitting Damien? Not the smartest thing you ever did.

Plus, I have to ask, isn’t Eric a little naive believing Damien about Ben beating him up in the first place? It’s not like Damien is very trustworthy himself. He should have listened to Dan’s wise words: “I’m not gonna team up with the guy I trust less than Ben.” And for that matter Dan should have listened to Dan’s own wise words. Like Dan, I guess Eric wised up a little too late.

Damien: Damien finally got what was coming to him: Dear old dad might just cut him off. I just hope we won’t be seeing any more of him.

Nate: Tonight, Nate wins the best line of the episode: “Hey, do not knock ‘The Sound of Music.’ It’s got nuns and nazis. Julie Andrews was hot.”

And that’s Gossip Girl for you this week. I’ll be honest, I usually have ups and downs with the show, where sometimes everyone just annoys me and I hate the storylines, and then other times I just love the direction they are taking. Right now it’s the latter. I am enjoying the Ben storyline a lot, and while the whole Eric, Dan and Damien storyline was more in the annoying department, I’m just glad it’s over.

Can’t wait for next week’s episode. But until then, let me know what you thought. Were you as annoyed as I was by Eric, Dan and Damien’s actions? Do you like Serena and Ben together? What do you think of Chuck’s romance with Raina? Fake or Real? Share in the comments below.
