Connie Britton Joins The Fighter Director on New FX Drama

Connie Britton

Connie Britton appears to be moving on from her highly acclaimed stint on Friday Night Lights, according to TVLine.com.

The rumor mills are swirling and word is Britton may be collaborating a new drama for FX with Academy Award nominee David O. Russell, the man behind the Oscar nominated picture The Fighter.

Details have not been revealed, but Britton is believed to be up for the female protagonist. Russell is the man behind Three Kings and I Heart Huckabees, so guessing the particulars of this project should lead to some pretty interesting theories.

Have you any speculations? I wonder if the show will be involved in the world of sport, considering both Emmy nominated Britton and Russell have had very recent and very large success in the sporting worlds. Whatever it is, I am certainly excited that Connie Britton will not be too long gone from the television screen now that Friday Night Lights is over.
