Alana De La Garza Joins LAW & ORDER: LOS ANGELES

Law & Order: LA (NBC) - alana de la garza

Alana De La Garza will be joining the cast of NBC’s LAW & ORDER: LOS ANGELES, playing Connie Rubirosa. This character is the same ADA whom De La Garza played when she was on the original Law & Order. She will interact with Terrence Howard who plays DDA Jonah Dekker.

As reported by, a statement from Law & Order creator Dick Wolf reveals his hopes that fans “will be happy to see the return of Alana’s character, one of the longest-running assistant prosecutors on Law & Order. Alana has a huge following and it will be interesting to follow her character as she comes to terms with Los Angeles justice.” De La Garza joined Law & Order at the start of season 17; she stayed with the show until its series finale last spring.

Suffering from low ratings, Law & Order: Los Angeles is currently being reworked. After being pulled from the NBC schedule, Skeet Ulrich was dropped as the lead on the series. Alfred Molina’s DDA character, Ricardo Morales, is now set to return to his roots as a LAPD detective. He will be partnered with detective TJ Jaruszalski (Corey Stoll).

Cast members Regina Hall and Megan Boone also have left the spin-off.
