GLEE’s Valentine’s Day Episode Songs Set

Love is in the air-and the music-on GLEE. TV Guide got hold of the song listing for the FOX comedy’s Valentine’s episode and while some might be exactly what you’d expect, I think there a couple of surprises.

Rachel (Lea Michelle) will sing Katy Perry’s “Firework,” Puck (Mark Salling) will do the honors on Queen’s “Fat Bottomed Girls,” Artie (Kevin McHale) will perform Michael Jackson’s “P. Y. T. (Pretty Young Thing),” and Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) gets Babes In Arms’ “My Funny Valentine.” The Warblers will be heard twice: once with Blaine (Darren Criss) as they take on Robin Thicke’s “When I Get You Alone” and once by themselves when they sing the episode title’s inspiration, Paul McCartney’s “Silly Love Songs.”

What do you think of these song choices? Which New DIrections member are you most sorry not to see on the list? I vote Mercedes. Any clue what the songs might be saying about couples and/or potential couples? Sound off in the comments.

GLEE airs on FOX Tuesdays at 8pm eastern/7pm central. The Valentine’s Day episode, “Silly Love Songs,” airs February 8.
