You know that feeling of dread and terror you sometimes get on high school or college campuses? Syfy is planning to show it’s not just because of that looming exam.

The network announced it is partnering with executive producers Mark Burnett (Survivor, The Apprentice) and Seth Jarrett (Celebrity Ghost Stories) to develop a one-hour reality series, SCHOOL SPIRITS. Produced by Jarrett Creative Group, the project will focus on stories of hauntings in colleges and high schools across the country. The stories will be told in first person narratives through testimonials of real students, teachers, parents and staff who have encountered the paranormal activity.

“Paranormal encounters at high schools and colleges often become legendary stories spanning and touching generations,” said Mark Stern, President of Original Programming, Syfy and Co-Head of Content for Universal Cable Productions. “We’re very excited to partner with Mark and Seth as they bring these compelling, firsthand stories to life.”

Will you watch this show? Should any of your schools–past or present–be included in School Spirits?
