Skeet Ulrich, Two Others Leaving LAW & ORDER: LOS ANGELES

Law & Order: Los Angeles (NBC) Echo Park

There is a major cast shake-up at LAW & ORDER: LOS ANGELES as part of a creative overhaul. According to Deadline, star Skeet Ulrich, who plays Detective Rex Winters on the NBC crime drama, is leaving the show.

Deadline further reports that both Regina Hall, who plays DDA Evelyn Price, and Megan Boone, who plays DDA Lauren Stanton, are also exiting the series. While Boone is completely done on the show, Hall may make a brief return.

Law & Order: Los Angeles is in the middle of shooting its twelfth episode and is not expected to stop production to accommodate these changes. It is not known what cast additions may be made or how the characters will be written out.

While Law & Order head honcho Dick Wolf has been known to re-tool his shows during their debut seasons, this is an impressively dramatic and sudden change.

Ratings for Law & Order: Los Angeles have declined since its premiere, but it has still been NBC’s highest-rated freshman drama, averaging a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

Do you think these changes will help or hurt the show? Any casting suggestions? Please post them below.
