V Season 2: The Lowdown

V Season 2 Premiere Red Rain
After a long wait, V and its visitors are back for Season 2 tonight. I already watched the first three episodes from the new season and I really enjoyed them. I’ll go as far as saying that I enjoyed them more than season 1.

So how about a few teasers for what’s to come at the beginning of this season? Here’s what

The Baby Hybrid

I think it’s come as no surprise that Anna has some big plans regarding Ryan’s hybrid baby, which includes experiments and some other unpleasant things.

Ryan’s Choice

Speaking of Ryan, he will be faced with a choice and even I don’t know what he’ll decide, but all I know is that either way, it will be a pretty exciting outcome.

New Scientist on Board

Bret Harrison joins the cast as Dr. Sidney Miller who joins the Fifth Column

Anna’s Mother

Some of you might already know this, but we will be meeting Anna’s mother, Diana, this season. She will be played by Jane Badler from the original V series.

I wasn’t too sure how this new casting and storyline would work out, but I found that it worked pretty well following the events of the season 1 finale, with Anna losing all her babies.

Anna seeks counsel from her mother and we not only get a peek at her past, but also her new struggle as she tries to deal with her own daughter, Lisa. I’m personally hoping for a mother/daughter showdown at some point.

The Fifth Column

I was a little disappointed with their role in the first 3 episodes. There was more excitement for me last season when they were trying to take the Vs down. But unfortunately, in the first three episodes, I wasn’t as involved with their cause.

That said there is one pretty shocking torture scene (I won’t reveal who’s getting tortured, but it is someone we know) which reminded me how badass Erica, Ryan and Kyle are. Pretty powerful stuff.

New Secrets Revealed

Erica will find out a few secrets related to Tyler, but as always they are just hints at something much bigger. I am hoping for actual answers regarding Tyler’s importance this season.

Chad Decker

I’m still very suspicious of Chad, although he wants to redeem himself this season and help the Fifth Column. We’ll see how that turns out.

That about covers some of my highlights for the first three episodes of Season 2 of V. I’ll also conclude by saying that after watching these episodes, I’m more enthused about this new season of the series than I was for season 1, so that’s definitely a good thing.

Make sure you don’t miss tonight’s, Tuesday January 4, Season 2 premiere of V at 9pm on ABC.
