Diego Klattenhoff Latest to be Cast in Showtime’s HOMELAND January 3, 2011 Homeland, News Principal casting is now done on Showtime’s HOMELAND. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Diego Klattenhoff (Mercy, Men in Trees) will play Marine colonel Mike Faber, who is Marine sergeant and former Iraqi prisoner of war Scott Brody’s (Damian Lewis) best friend. Loosely based on the Israeli television series Prisoners of War, Homeland will follow CIA agent Carrie Anderson’s (Claire Danes) investigation into whether or not Scott was turned during his incarceration and is now plotting a strike against the US. Mandy Patinkin will play Carrie’s boss Saul while David Harewood is on board as the CIA Deputy Director of Intelligence. Laura Fraser has also been cast as Scott’s wife. Production on Homeland begins January 10 and Showtime’s new president of entertainment David Nevins thinks it will be an exciting departure for the network. He said, “It’s a great psychological study like all the best Showtime shows, but it actually is much more than that in the fact that it’s a psychological thriller with a real ticking clock and real edge-of-your seat elements.” Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Google+ (Opens in new window)Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)
