Apple TV about to Hit One Million Units Sold

Apple TV

Score another victory for Apple. Mashable reports that the company announced that it expects its newly redesigned Apple TV will pass the one million units sold mark this week.

This version of Apple TV, which launched in September and costs $99.99, supports Netflix, You Tube, Flickr, and MobileMe. It also offers affordable TV show rentals and content streaming and Apple says that iTunes users are buying and renting upwards of 150,000 movies and 400,000 television episodes per day.

This news comes as Apple TV rival Google TV is floundering as it tweaks its software and some major broadcast networks banning it from streaming their content.

Any Apple TV users out there? How do you like the service?
