Canadian Series BEING ERICA Will Be Adapted for US Television

BEING ERICA, the Canadian TV series that has been airing on CBC since 2009, will be adapted for American television. Temple Street Prods. announced that Maggie Friedman, writer of Eastwick, is working on the adaptation for ABC.

Being Erica is the story of Erica Strange, a woman that has been given a fantastic gift. Erica has the ability to go back and relive an event from her life that she regrets. In reliving these moments, Erica can come back and make a positive change in the present.

The series has sold through BBC Worldwide to more than 150 countries, including ABC’s sister cable channel, Soap Net. SoapNet will be replaced by Disney Jr. in 2012.

The third season of Being Erica will begin on SoapNet on January 26th.
